Prophetic Meditation |
There is an attack that often happens subtly to the Children of God, the agenda of this attack is to keep the children of God in a place of defeat.
The Bible says that the Lord told Moses to send men to spy out the Land of Canaan and this scripture goes on to say that Moses sent out 12 spies, and after 40 days they returned and only 1 spy by the name of Caleb had the courage after all that they had seen and experienced in that 40-day timeframe.
It is a plot of the enemy to cause us to look at every situation from the mindset that many of the spies had in this biblical occurrence.
Before leaving they were motivated and encouraged by Moses to take an account of the land but to never measured themselves by what they saw in the land.
This is how discouragement subtly creeps in, at the start everything seems attainable, but then our focus is shifted and our eyesight becomes skewed.
Before long, if this mindset remains in operation, fear sets in, worry comes, depression sets in, and physical ailments the begin to present themselves.
But the good news is the antidote of this is to encourage ourselves in the Lord.
In verse 30 of Numbers chapter 13, Caleb of the Tribe of Judah quiets the people before Moses and responds lets us go up and take possession, for we all are able to over come it!
Of those who went on this recon mission, Caleb was the one who did not view the land of Canaan in the eye-line of defeat but rather from the mindset of more than a conqueror!
Not only do we have to encourage ourselves in the Lord but there will also be times when we have to encourage each other in the Lord!
It’s important to understand that the Lord expects us to reach a level or measure of weakness in this earthen vessel because He has already set in place a prerequisite for just that very expectation.
When discouragement comes and we realize our human weaknesses be encouraged in the Lord because in our weakness His grace is sufficient for His strength is now made perfect!
Hallelujah!
