Isaiah 40:31 in the amplified version of scripture says…
But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.”
For some, the act of waiting on God proves to be quite challenging. Contextually when we study scripture we sometimes find ourselves operating in blind faith because we’ve taken a piece of scripture intending to hold on to it while waiting on a move of God.
For many, that concept of “according to your faith”works to various degrees.
As students of God, we are to continually educate ourselves in the way of His Spirit. To truly activate the word of God, it is to our advantage that we study, line upon line, and precept upon precept.
Isaiah 40:28-29 says
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become tired or grow weary; There is no searching of His understanding. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who has no might He increases power.
What we ought to consider first in situations that seem most challenging or tiresome to us is that God does not grow tired or weary. In the midst of our weariness in this earthen vessel with our fallible thinking we MUST remember that God is not worn down by what we consider to be a problem.
We wait on Him because He brings strength and hope to those situations that are large to us because they are small to Him.
We wait on Him not because while we wait strength & hope gradually come but rather He is the strength and hope that comes because we waited.
God is not only the source but the resource of all things.
So while we wait, whatever we’re waiting for, let’s rejoice!
Waiting well,
Apostle Natasha 💜
