Luke 16:1-5 AMP1.Now Jesus was also saying to the disciples, There was a certain rich man who had a manager ( of his estates) and accusations ( against this man) were brought to him, that this man was squandering his ( master’s) possessions. 2) So he called and said to him, what is this I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management ( of my affairs) for you can no longer be ( my) manager. 3. The manager ( estate) said to himself. What will I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig ( for a living) and I am ashamed to beg 4. I know what I will do so that when I am removed from management people ( who are my master’s debtors) will welcome me into their homes.5. So he summoned his master’s debtors one by one, and he said to the first, How much do you owe my master. In these scriptures it tells the story of a rich man’s steward being called out for mishandling his possessions. The Unjust Steward didn’t steward the position of being the Manager. His heart posture was tested and failed due to the Servant searched within himself looking for A truth when THE truth is ONLY within Christ Jesus. This is what happens when you search for anything dealing with the heart of man!
We can equate this time to such a time in modern day. God is the rich man and we are his stewards ( managers) as we steward well over the possessions of our Father. God is the Lender and we are the borrowers until God see how little or much we are to him in faith and dishonesty ( Luke 16:10) God will measure you in a lie and in the truth. ( they both have responsibilities ) The truth will uproot you and a lie will keep you binded! Also, as a steward we have a choice of choosing honesty or dishonesty. A lie is responsible for leading you into distrust and mistrust. A lie will lead you into doing ungodly acts and sayings.( stealing, killing and destroying) A lie can never be covered or buried, it lives until it is unveiled and uprooted by the sword of the Lord.Only the truth of Jesus can uproot a lie and bring forth a trueness. The Unjust Steward mentioned in this story squandered possessions due to him leaning unto his own understanding of what trust is IN him. Greed was a voice that spoke loudly to the unjust Steward! This goes to show when you get those impure notions YOU must test that Spirit to see how pure it is. By the Rich man discovering the dishonesty in his Steward, the lie had to become exposed so the Manager can be delivered from all his ill wills. We can look at this with the natural eye and tell ourselves that he just got caught up and careless but with the Kings eye ( spiritually) he sees over all his possessions which is trust, honesty, kindness, honor, integrity to just name a few. Jesus as our King will bring exposure to anything/anyone who comes up against these biblical principles! The covers will be removed!
We must walk in the understanding that when God gives us his title as a Manager, we must go back to him and ask him to call us into management. This is where we will not see these things that come to mismanage us in such a way it brings dishonor and shame to our Father Abba!
Question: Are you managing what God has given you in honor and integrity? What are doing in your management that keeps you from going rogue?
