What is cessation and why does it heavily effect the ecclesia of God today? Cessationists believe that God is not doing ANY let alone doing anything NEW in the earth today. There is a false doctrine that has indoctrinated a populace of the body of Christ to believe that Charismatics and charismatic behavior is merely exaggeration and sensationalism. The danger of this false doctrine is that one of the greatest precepts spoken of Jesus is that what cannot be forgiven is the blaspheming of the Spirit of God, Holy Spirit. What has happened is what could not be understood due to a lack of experience has been shunned therefore pushing a grievous mistruth concerning the expressions and movement of the Holy Spirit in humanity's realm today.
